McGrath had one of the best seasons for a quick bowler in IPL history where he managed a perfect economy rate of 6.61 and grabbed 12 wickets, including a match-winning 4 for 29 against Royal Challengers Bangalore. This made him one of the ten bowlers with best economy rates in IPL.

5. Lasith Malinga (6.67 per over)

Lasith Malinga not only holds the most number of wickets for a bowler in the history of Indian Premier League but also has a very impressive 6.67 per over economy rate. He has taken 143 wickets in 98 matches. Lasith Malinga is considered as a T20 specialist and probably the best death bowler in the world.
