For those not fasting, here are some options


Anantara The Palm Afternoon tea will be served at The Lotus Lounge — a three-tier selection of sandwiches, clotted cream, scones and sweets with teas and coffees. Saturday-Thursday, 3-5pm, Dh145 per person. Call 04-5678304.

Coya Open for lunch Monday-Sunday at 12.30-3.30pm. Call 04-3169600.

Four Seasons Resort Suq open for breakfast (6.30-11.30am) and lunch (1-4pm); Hendricks open for beverages and light snacks from 1pm-2am. Call 04-2707777.

The Gramercy The DIFC gastro-pub will have its breakfast and lunch menus available, Sunday-Wednesday, 8.30am-midnight; Thursday, 8.30am-2am; Friday, noon-midnight; Saturday, 4pm-midnight. Call 04-4377511.

Jones the Grocer Various locations open for counter service and cafe take away: Al Mamoura, 8am onwards (weekends from 10am); Khalidiyah: 10am onwards (weekends: 9am); Al Raha 10am onwards; Al Muneera 8.30am onwards (weekends 10am); Al Manara 9.30am onwards; Al Safa 8am onwards.

La Serre Bistro and Boulangerie Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout Ramadan, the modern French restaurant and cafe at Vida Hotel will also have a pop-up concept: The House, by local art collective The Animation Chamber. All existing art will be removed as the collective does hand-drawn illustrations directly onto the walls. The restaurant will have a more communal dining experience during the month, while Ramadan sweets and pastries will be on sale in the Boulangerie. Call 04-4286969.

La Cantine du Faubourg Lunch menu at Dh105, noon-2am (noon-3am on weekends). Call 04-3527105.

La Petite Maison Lunch from noon-3pm daily, with new additions to the a la carte menu. Dinner from 7pm with free light soup and dates. It will close for refurbishment from June 28-July 4. Call 04-4390505.

Little More The Business Central Towers location is open for lunch and delivery, 8am-9pm on weekdays and 9am-7pm on weekends. Call 04-4200100.

La Porte Des Indes A la carte menu for lunch (no business lunch, thali or any set menu). Open noon-2am. Call 04-4388610.

Loca, Dubai Marine Beach Resort and Spa Serving Mexican food and soft drinks from noon. Call 04-3461111.

Maison Mathis, Dusit Thani The restaurant and bakery, which is open 24/7, keeps its doors open right through Ramadan as usual. Call 04-3357769.

Mistral, Mövenpick Hotel Ibn Battuta Gate Open daily from 06:00am to 11.30pm. For bookings please call 04 444 5613

Noodle House The pan-Asian outlets in DIFC and Dubai Media City are open noon-11pm and noon-11.30pm respectively while locations in Emirates Towers and Souk Madinat Jumeirah are open for take-away only. Burjurman Centre Noodle House does take away and home delivery from Iftar until 1am.

The Pavilion, Downtown Dubai The Bench Brunch will continue throughout Ramadan every Friday and Saturday, 10am-3pm. The communal brunch, Dh99, serves food buffet-style at large picnic tables with cold cuts, salads, cheeses and sandwiches, fruit and dessert and a choice of main courses, coffee or tea. 50 per cent off for kids 6-12; free for kids under 6. Perry & Blackwelder’s Original Smokehouse Souk Madinat Jumeirah (noon to 2am).

Pret To Go The DIFC and Jafza outlet is putting breakfast (Dh200) and lunch (Dh250) in boxes for up to 6 people; or grab a date muffin and coffee for Dh20. They are open 8am-6pm, Saturday-Thursday. Call 8007738.

RIVA Beach Club Open daily from noon-midnight, with beach and pool access for Dh100, which can be redeemed on all food and drink purchases. Call 04-4309466.

Sophie’s Serving fresh juices, gluten and dairy free smoothies, coffee, cakes and salads, 7am-9pm. Call 8007738.

Urban Bistro Regular hours, 7.30am-6pm daily. The Media City spot’s weekend brunch will also continue. Delivery from 8pm. 04-3624330.

Zuma The contemporary Japanese restaurant in DIFC will remain open during the day (12.30-3.30pm) with the Ebisu lunch selection (Dh130, 12.30-2.30pm, Sunday to Thursday) and a la carte available. Call 04-4255660. In Abu Dhabi, the restaurant opens for lunch at noon and closes at 3pm (Ebisu, Dh140, noon-2pm, Sunday to Thursday). Call 02-4015900.
