Ria D’Souza, the host of Zee Connect (Zee Middle East Channel) & Actress, talks to BollywoodDubai about growing up in Dubai, her professional career & her secret of staying fit.
You might know her as the bubbly, energetichost of Zee Connect, the popular weekly lifestyle show that runs on Saturday nights, or you might have spotted her with Mohanlal in Casanovva, the Malayali romantic action film Or perhaps you might have heard her on City 101.6 a couple of years ago, the curvaceous Andria (Ria) D’Souza has countless roles and she is a super charged engine that runs on rocket fuel.
1.) Tell me a little about yourself. Where are you from? What’s your educational background?
I’m a simple girl born brought up in Dubai, But my roots hail from Mangalore, India. Pursued my education from “Our Own English High School” very commonly known as OOEHS; Then taken commerce as my main stream. I always had a flair for dancing and acting & was active in my extra co circular activities.
2.) What are your general professional and non-professional interests?
Professional interest, I give my best the first time and every time & believe in continual improvement. I’m too occupied with my professional interests that for now, I don’t see any door for non-Professional interests.
3.) What’s the biggest challenge of your job?
To look your best even after the long hours of shoots.
4.) What’s your motto or life advice that you life by?
Live life as it comes & be positive in life, because you always get what you believe in.
5.) Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
As a successful actress or a producer.
6.) What do you think is the hardest part about being in the entertainment industry?
Gossip! Unnecessary gossip which sometimes hurts you or effects you.
7.) What are some of your favourite fashion websites, magazines, or books?
I follow Filmfare & Masala. I’m a Bollywood buff, besides that I hate reading.
8.) What do you do in your free time?
Watch movies, Catch with friends and Listen to music.
9.) Isn’t it hard to stay fit? How do you manage that?
It’s really hard to stay fit and I believe eating in 6 portions, I never skip my meals. Being a dance freak, I dance and sweat it out.
