Mohali: After clinching the man-of-the-match award for his brilliant spell of bowling against Kings XI Punjab in an Indian Premier League (IPL) encounter, Sunrisers Hyderabad`s left arm fast bowler Trent Boult said he was still learning and it felt nice to get a reward for his efforts.
Boult was exceptional in his four overs returning with figures of 3/19 and made sure the Kings were put on a tight leash chasing 151/6. They ultimately fell short by 20 runs here on Monday.
“I`m learning, trying to come in and be as aggressive as I can. It`s nice to get a reward today and see the result. The first thing here is to get the length right and I`m enjoying my time here and looking forward to travelling to Hyderabad and get going again,” Boult said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
The New Zealander, who has thus far got eight wickets from five IPL matches, also praised the bowling unit for a collective performance.
“It was quite a dry wicket, not much humidity. It was a good batting wicket, but we bowled really well,” he said.
The Sunrisers next play Chennai Super Kings at home in Hyderabad on May 2.
