Dubai tells foreign women job seekers to be cautious

DUBAI: Foreign women job seekers and their families should make sure job offers are legitimate before travelling to the UAE, an official has warned.

Lt. Col. Dr. Sultan Abdul Hamid Al Jammal, Director of the Dubai Police Human Trafficking Crime Control Centre, was quoted as saying by WAM that women should not trust any claims on jobs that do not include official work contracts, adding that foreign job seekers should only deal with certified companies.

He added that the centre plans to publicize human trafficking stories to educate the public about such crimes, noting that hotline phone number 8007283 remains available to assist victims of human trafficking, the report said.
